Meyer Stansberry

As a native from California, Meyer’s dance background began when he was 14 years of age. Growing up dancing Standard/International Ballroom and living in New York in the beginning of the evolution of Salsa. Meyer has 23 social dances in his repertoire.

In 2003, Semba/Kizomba “discovered” Meyer and because of the “connection element” in the dance, he has and continues to travel the world learning the history and culture - while seeking the dance skills from the world’s top instructors.

This training and knowledge enables him to teach and dance these movements on a high social level. He brings a unique ability to infuse the musicality and movement learned in the mastery of previous dances into his dance space.

Currently based in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, Meyer regularly shares his knowledge of Semba and Kizomba at KL Social Society.
